Budget, now the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherji has shown thumb
– “thenga” to Mumbaikar. He has made mazaak with Mumbai by just
mentioning Rs.500 crores, which has already been sanctioned,
announced and provided by the Prime Minister and the then
Finance Minister in 2007. Of Rs.1,200 crores, Rs.500 crores
were received last year, Rs.500 crores will be received this
year. Rs.200 crores will be for next year. Once again, Mumbai
has been cheated. Nothing for the Mithi project or the special
grant of Rs.1,000 crores.
The Finance
Minister has not announced any specific action programme to
handle the economic slowdown. It is shocking that Rs.1,86,000
crores deficit including the fiscal in just one year and the
Finance Minister has kept silent. No measures to bring down the
prices of 17 essential commodities like Tur Dal, Sugar,
Groundnut Oil, etc. |
