Khel Mahotsav (From 1996 onwards) This concept was started to bring together the people of all communities through sporting activities and to make them aware of HIV/AIDS. Objectives: For protection, promotion and popularisation of Indian traditional games with people's participation. Area of Operation: Mumbai Methods/Strategy:
	The physical teacher, sportsmen, sports clubs are involved.
	One committee is formed of experts.
	Activities are carried out at various places to enhance better participation

Outcome: In all 7 years,4.35 Lacs students, youngsters & senior citizens participated

	Every year 1100 schools & 1200 mandals are participating.
	30 different types of games and events were organised simultaneously at 35 places.

Millennium Khel Mahotsav

5th-17th January,2000

Target Group: Small children to Senior Citizen (Participants were 2½ yrs. to 70 yrs. old).

Objective:

	To desipate the message of sporting life.
	To create environment of enjoyment of sports.

Strategies: Involvement of Sports Organisations, Sports Clubs and Eminent Personalities from sports field.

Outcome:

	Massive involvement of people which leads to entry in Limca Book of Records.
	Appreciated by Dept. of Sports, Govt. of Maharashtra
	Strengthening of Sports Activities in North-East Mumbai.
	Supply of Exercise Material to Vyayamshalas.

Evaluation Methods : Observers in each area.

Results : All the participants enjoyed the Mahotsav.

	Ladies Kabaddi competition at Ghatkopar.
	Muscleman in action - Body Building competition
	Women participants in ready position for the athletics competition for senior citizens.
	Attractive Trophies, National Flag & Kargil Memento for the winning participants.
	Sword fighting demonstration by the students of D-Ed college, Chembur.

Kabaddi Mahotsav:

Biggest Kabaddi Event was organised in the history of Mumbai.

Gymnasiums:

Gymnasiums to encourage fitness amongst youth. Providing Equipment to over 200 Health Care.
