Harassment of 1081 Victims of 7/11
Mumbai Bomb Blast is not yet over. 711
appeals are filled by The Government of
India at Mumbai High Court. Separate
appeals are filled against 711 Victims
who have received Financial Claims-
Compensation. It’s Terrorism by Railways
now condemns BJP Leader Dr Kirit Somaiya.
These are the claims settled & ordered
by The Railway Claim Tribunal.
Railway on behalf of
Govt. of India have moved to Mumbai High
Court stating that Interest decreed by
The Special Bench of Railway Claim
Tribunal is un-justified.
It may be noted that
after 24 moths also the Financial
Compensation are not paid to all. The
Government of Maharashtra took 23 month
to disburse the compensation to 1014
victims. The Human Right Commission has
issued to notices to Railway and
Government of Maharashtra and called for
explanation about delay in payment of
Compensation.
On the eve of 2nd
anniversary of 7/11 Mumbai Bomb Blast
Victims have started receiving notices
from Mumbai High Court. The Notices
states that. In case of failure to
appear before the court. The proceedings
will be carried out Ex- Party.
Several Victims have
contacted Dr. Kirit Somaiya. They are
scared, yet there wound are not
completed Medical Treatment and
successive surgeries are going on. And
now these Notices.
Mr. Rajn Kamble of
Bhayander who received just Rs. 28,000/-
compensation couple of month back
Received notice few weeks back to appear
befor High Court.
Smt. Kunda Vithoba Shinde
of Kalina Compensation order of Rs.
10,000/- issued on 27th Feb
2008.
Ramniwas Ladhha received
compensation of Rs. 10,000/- in April
2008 also have received notice of appeal
of Railway.
Dr. Kirit Somaiya
EX-Member of Parliament states it is
horrible and ridiculous that the
Government is dragging the Victims to
High Court for No fault of theirs
Railway wants the interest back from the
victims.
It may be noted that
there compensation is paid as part of
the “General accident Insurance Cover”
It is paid by the General Insurance
Company. It is paid against the minimum
paid by every commuter while purchasing
Railway Tickets and Monthly Pass. It is
not paid from the pocket of Railway.
Railway is spending tens
of Thousands Rupees towards Advocate
fees, leagal chages for each appeal. To
recover Rs.400/- Railway is incurring
Rs.40,000/- per appeal.
Dr. Somaiya demanded
immediate withdrawal of all there appeal
and “Apology” from the Government.
