Small Investors have lost Rs.1,356 crores in last 3 years.
20 major companies of Mumbai, Thane
with different schemes such as “Ek ka
Double”, Double your Money”, “Make
your future” have duped about 50,000
Small Investors in the last 3 years.
BJP leader, Dr. Kirit Somaiya has
expressed shock and surprise that the
Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai Police
have expressed their inability to take
action against such fraud.
Three years are over. No
serious action has been taken by the
Maharashtra Govt. and Govt. of India to
protect Small Investors, charged Dr.
Somaiya.

In reply to Dr. Somaiya’s queries, Police have informed
that “action held up due to Mumbai High
Court judgment about MPID”.
These are sheer excuses, charged
Dr. Somaiya.
The Police, State and Central
Governments have enough powers under
several other Acts to proceed to protect
Small Investors.
This is another example of
lawlessness in
Maharashtra
, charged BJP.
