BJP leader Dr. Kirit Somaiya in Delhi met Comptroller &
Auditor General of India, Central Vigilance Commissioner & Mr.
Arun Jaitley (Leader of Opposition – Rajya Sabha) and Mrs.
Sushma Swaraj (Dy. Leader of Opposition – Lok Sabha) and
discussed the issue. He requested for the protection of Air
India employees, evaluation of Rs.55,000 crore aircraft purchase
order, etc. All expressed concern about the present Air India’s
financial crisis.
Recently,
Air Corporations Employees’ Union met Prime Minister, Dr.
Manmohan Singh and raised several questions including the merger
of Air India and Indian Airlines, unwanted purchase of expensive
Boeing aircrafts and asked that why the employees are being held
responsible for the recent financial crisis of Air India when
the Minister of Civil Aviation and Ministry of Civil Aviation
has supervised both Air India and Indian Airlines and combined
Air India for the last 5 years. |
